Our Values

Low Carbon Futures was developed as the commercial trading arm of Community Energy Plus, an award winning fuel poverty charity.

Our vision is to create positive ideas of a sustainable future for businesses. We aim to empower everyone we work with to protect themselves against resource shortages and transform into a business which will be sustainable both financially and environmentally in the long-term.

Reducing carbon emissions is very much at the heart of everything we do. But we believe that this must come in partnership with sustainable business models and investments which prove a good return. Our unique approach allows our clients to engage stakeholders and harness the financial benefits of a structured energy management strategy.

We have over ten years’ experience working in energy and environmental management, and are proud of our independence, and our reputation as an efficient, trustworthy and knowledgeable company. We will only refer you to partner companies when appropriate, and are not driven by any internal sales targets. We promise to be completely transparent in every stage of our journey with you, and are committed to only making recommendations suitable to your company.

Testimonials

  • The advice that Low Carbon Futures gave us when we were starting to create our Environmental Management System was invaluable. Andy McKenzie gained a good understanding of our business and what we were trying to achieve, and was able to tailor his support accordingly. As a result we will be in a position to go for our ISO14001 accreditation in the next couple of months.

    Mark Wright, Piran Technologies
  • “I knew that becoming more energy efficient is a simple way to reduce operating costs and your carbon footprint, but I was surprised by the financial savings that can be made just by using energy more intelligently.  This workshop provided a fantastic introduction to energy management and gave me the tools I needed to move forward.”

    John James, CoaST
  • “The Energy and Utility Management workshop was very concise, informative and relevant to my job.  Andy McKenzie did an excellent job at helping me to relate energy management to the business model here at The Hotel & Extreme Academy and identify how we can further improve the environmental sustainability of our operations while at the same time reducing our operating costs.”
