Training and Education

Low Carbon Futures offer a number of training options and can tailor training to suit the needs of most businesses.  Training is an area that is often overlooked when organisations are seeking to reduce their environmental impacts, but encouraging behavioural change by staff is frequently the most effective way to improve environmental performance without making a significant capital investment.

Training courses can include:

  • Environmental Awareness
  • Developing Site Waste Management Plans
  • Understanding Energy Efficiency
  • Understanding Renewable Energy
  • Fuel Poverty

Environmental Skills Network

The Environmental Skills Network (ESN) is a Cornish based network that provides support to existing and emerging environmental sector companies; from consultants to plumbers, recycling companies to electricians.

Its key service is to provide Free or Subsidised environmental training to businesses.  Training could be completely funded or part-funded by ESN, or through established providers such as Train to Gain.  ESN can also access bespoke training tailored to meet the specific needs of employees and businesses.
